Hello and welcome. The idea for an online writing group (Morgen’s Online Short Story Writing Group) came to me as I walked my dog around the park (as good ideas often do) on Sunday 6th January 2013. I’d already set up a Feedback section on my main (Morgen Bailey’s Writing Blog) blog, but that was just a list of readers / writers willing / offering to provide feedback and they then go off and talk amongst themselves.

I then thought of posting stories and non-fiction articles and took a few submissions over the five Online Writing Groups* but then when I reminded everyone that by posting online, it was / they were deemed as published which restricted the posting elsewhere and the submissions tailed off.

So, it’s become an information site with regular exercises for you to write to and submit via the lists on https://morgenbailey.wordpress.com/submission-information/submissions-non-fiction which is replicated on this blog’s Submissions page.

  1. I’ve been interested in Creative writing but for the lack of guidance, I’ve never ventured into writing professionally. I’d like to hone several skills that’s editing, proofreading and working professionally with manuscripts. I would like to enroll for a course, on second thoughts, maybe several of your courses. I’m Batool from India and I teach English Literature and Language.
